Destiny of Spirits is a free-to-play, social location-based game developed exclusively for the PlayStation Vita system where players from around the world work cooperatively in turn-based action to battle fierce bosses to unlock an expansive virtual world. It was released on March 25, 2014 in North America.

Players can work together with other “Spirit Masters” around the globe to trade Spirits to use in battle. The more friends the users have online, the more combat strategies they have at their disposal, leveraging social play to enhance the core experience.

By traveling physical distances with the PS Vita system – down the street, in the car, to other countries – players gain the ability to hunt for Sprits and add them to their arsenal. Spirits are unique to certain locations, so players must work with others around the globe to trade and lend spirits that might not be available in their immediate locations. Destiny of Spirits is 3G and Wi-Fi compatible.

Based on the date of birth of the player, the Destiny Engine keeps the gameplay fresh and exciting by bestowing varied levels of luck and fortune each day that affect how the player strategically engages with the game.[1]
