Borderlands 2 is an action role-playing first-person shooter video game developed by Gearbox Software and published by 2K Games on the PlayStation Vita on May 13, 2014. The game is actually a port of the original which was first released the previous year on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC.
The game plays similarly to the game available on other platforms. Due to the lack of buttons, the rear touch pad and the touch screen takes the place of the missing buttons. The controls allow for customization, however, allowing players to assign their least used commands to the touch controls.
The game includes the two DLC character's "Gaige the Mechromancer" and "Krieg the Psycho." In addition to all six vault hunters, Borderlands 2 on Vita includes the campaign packs “Captain Scarlett and her Pirate’s Booty” and “Mr. Torgue’s Campaign of Carnage”; the Vault Hunter Upgrade pack, and the Collector’s Edition Pack. The game lacks much of the downloadable content that was released for other platforms, most notably Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon's Keep. There is no current ETA on the missing content, and the developers have only said that they will consider it if the game sells well.
A bundle was produced for Borderlands 2 on the Vita that included the newly launched PlayStation Slim.
